Last, but certainly not least, meet intern Sarah!

Sarah climbs during the 2012 Volunteer Training Retreat

Name: Sarah Klyman
Previous/Current Occupation: high school student/City Year San Antonio corps member
Childhood Ambition: astronaut/chef
3 Words that best describe you: Enthusiastic, driven, outdoor-lovin’
Proudest Moment: Overcoming my fear of public speaking through speech team.
Why Chicago Adventure Therapy (CAT)? All through high school I told people I wanted to work for a non-profit that does adventure therapy with at risk urban youth. When I found CAT on google, I knew it would be a perfect fit.
What have you learned so far in your internship? I have learned a lot about the different neighborhoods of Chicago and some of the intricacies of running a small non-profit.
What has surprised you about CAT and/or about Adventure Therapy?  I was very surprised at the variety of programming that CAT does. A wide range of neighborhoods, with an even wider age range.
